FFL Graduate 1

My name is Cameron Finley. I recently graduated from Alabama A&M University on December 12, 2014. I moved back to Birmingham, AL after school.

What are 3 things you learned from Fit for Life?

Fit for Life taught me a lot of things. The three most important things would be: the importance of networking, money management, and last but not least virtues and vices.

Did those 3 things learned impact your future life goals?

Those three key things have changed my entire outlook on life. Just thinking about what Mr. Kennedy would say haunts me lol(laugh out loud). I will touch basis on each topic. Networking is a big thing for me because I travel often. I enjoy meeting new people and trying new things. Being taught money management was a great thing. Even though I was already good at managing my own money. Hearing somebody else prospective on things can turn your world upside down if you let it. Virtues and vices is a heavy topic because we all deal with them daily. Knowing the difference between the two can be life changing.

What was your favorite part of Fit for Life?

My favorite part of Fit for Life is all the different activities we were able to do. While doing those different activities I was able to make some lasting relationships. Fit for Life got me out of my comfort zone and helped me become more adventurous. I am able to say Fit for Life introduced me to a whole new outlook that I didn’t and couldn’t envision back then.

What are you doing after graduation?

I am currently working with a company called Marathon Electrical Contractors. I was given the opportunity by a fellow friend of ours named Gary Ard. I will be going back to school within the next two or three years to obtain my master’s degree.

Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?

Hopefully I’ll be married with a family by then. I plan on having something similar to Fit for Life later on in life. I’d like to help some young men out and show them that it’s not all about what they see on TV.
